# Download and Install

Welcome to OceaniaRO. This page covers the basic setup process so you can get in-game with the least friction.

## Before You Begin

- Make sure you have a stable internet connection.
- Use the latest fresh client package provided by OceaniaRO.
- If you have older Ragnarok or OceaniaRO files on your PC, keep this install in its own separate folder.
- Do not copy the fresh client over the top of an older client folder.

## Download Steps

1. Open the [official OceaniaRO download page](https://oro.playonnetwork.xyz/download.html).
2. Download the fresh full client from [MediaFire](https://www.mediafire.com/file/l6ni0tcwythsm5j/OceaniaRO_Client.zip/file) or the [Google Drive mirror](https://drive.google.com/file/d/12p_4r_ARie-dfrB7cgndUNGwiJfKLZPu/view?usp=sharing).
3. Save the zip somewhere easy to find, such as your desktop or downloads folder.

## Installation Steps

1. Extract the downloaded archive using 7-Zip or a similar tool.
2. Place the game files into a clean folder, such as `C:\Games\OceaniaRO`.
3. Right-click `OceaniaROPatcher.exe` and choose **Run as Administrator**.
4. Allow the patcher to finish before starting the game with `OceaniaRO.exe`.

## Recommended Setup Notes

- Do not install the client inside protected system folders such as Program Files unless you know how to handle Windows permission issues.
- Keep the game in a simple folder path if possible.
- Let the patcher complete fully before trying to log in.
- If you are replacing an old client, extract the fresh package to a new folder instead of merging files.

## If Something Goes Wrong

- If the patcher fails, close it and try again as Administrator.
- If the client does not launch, check that your antivirus has not quarantined any files.
- If you are unsure whether your files are current, re-run the patcher as Administrator first.
- If problems continue, use the support path in Discord and include a screenshot of the error.

# Registering an Account

Your game account gives you access to the OceaniaRO server and related account functions. Use the official control panel or registration link provided by the server.

## How to Register

1. Open the official registration page.
2. Enter your preferred username and password.
3. Provide any additional details required by the form, such as email if enabled.
4. Submit the form and wait for the confirmation message.

## Choosing Good Login Details

- Use a strong password that you do not reuse elsewhere.
- Write your account details down somewhere safe.
- Make sure you can type your password correctly before your first login attempt.

## Important Notes

- Your panel account and game account are usually the same unless the server states otherwise.
- Do not share your password with anyone.
- If email verification is used later, make sure you enter a real address you can access.

## If Registration Fails

- Check that the username is not already taken.
- Re-enter your password carefully.
- If the page errors out, wait a moment and try again.
- If the issue continues, contact support through Discord.

# First Login

Once your client is installed and your account is ready, you are set for your first login.

## First Launch Checklist

- Make sure the patcher has finished updating.
- Open the game using the server launcher or recommended executable.
- Have your account username and password ready.

## Logging In

1. Start the client.
2. Enter your account username and password.
3. Select the game server if a selection screen appears.
4. Create your first character and enter the world.

## What To Do First In-Game

- Read any welcome messages or starter guidance presented by the server.
- Check your inventory for starter items.
- Visit the main starter NPCs or town services if the server points you toward them.
- Open the New Player Guide for your early progression path.

## If Login Fails

- Confirm that your username and password are correct.
- Make sure the account was registered successfully.
- Re-run the patcher and try again.
- If you see a connection or version issue, ask support before repeatedly changing files.

# Useful Commands

These are the player commands currently available on OceaniaRO. Type them in chat with an **@** in front.

## Everyday

- **@commands** - Lists every command you can use.
- **@help <command>** - Help on a specific command.
- **@rates** - Shows current EXP and drop rates.
- **@servertime** - Shows server time.
- **@uptime** - Shows how long the server has been up.
- **@go <0-N>** - Warp to a major town. For example, **@go 0** for Prontera.
- **@storage** - Open your storage from anywhere.
- **@refresh** - Resync your character if you look stuck.
- **@channel** - Manage chat channels.
- **@changedress** - Hide your costume sprites.

## Looting

- **@autoloot <%>** - Auto-pick drops up to a drop rate. For example, **@autoloot 100**.
- **@autoloottype <type>** - Auto-pick a whole item type such as healing or usable items.
- **@alootid <id>** - Auto-loot one specific item by item ID.
- **@noks** - Anti kill-steal protection.

## Info

- **@mobinfo <name>** - Monster stats, drops, and spawn info.
- **@iteminfo <id>** - Item details.
- **@whodrops <id>** - Which monsters drop an item.
- **@whereis <name>** - Where a monster spawns.
- **@exp** - Your current EXP progress.
- **@showexp** - Toggle EXP-gain messages.
- **@showzeny** - Toggle zeny-gain messages.

- **@request <message>** - Sends a message to any online GM.
- You can also reach staff through Discord.

# FAQ

## Where do I start?

Start by creating your account, downloading the client, and following the Getting Started pages in order.

## Do I need a separate account for the game and panel?

Usually no. In most cases, your account details are shared unless the server specifically says otherwise.

## What should I do if the patcher fails?

Close it, run it again, and make sure security software has not blocked any game files. If it still fails, ask for support and include a screenshot.

## What should I do if I cannot log in?

Double-check your username and password, confirm your account was created successfully, and re-run the patcher before trying again.

## Where do I find guides for classes and systems?

Use the Books section of the wiki. The Getting Started, New Player Guide, Game Systems, and Classes and Builds books will grow over time.

## Where do I get help?

Discord should be your main support path for setup issues, account questions, and general help.

## Is this page final?

Not yet. This FAQ is a starter version and will be expanded as common questions come up.

# Rates

OceaniaRO runs fixed rates. They do not rotate on a timer and they do not float up and down based on time or player activity.

## Current Rates

- **Base EXP:** 3x
- **Job EXP:** 3x
- **Quest EXP:** 1x
- **Common drops:** 2x
- **Equipment drops:** 2x
- **Card drops:** 1x
- **MVP and treasure drops:** 1x

## Notes

- Card and MVP or treasure drops are kept at 1x to preserve their value.
- Rates are the same for everyone, all the time.
- The old floating-rate setup has been replaced by this flat configuration.
