Items, Economy and Progression

Ocean Gear

Ocean Gear is a six-piece water-themed set tied to the drowned heritage of Aequoria. Every piece is earned from Maren the Tidewright in Izlude.

Set Basics

The Pieces

How To Obtain

Talk to Maren the Tidewright in Izlude and turn in aquatic monster drops plus zeny for each piece. Drowned Aequoria also feeds into this progression through Coral Reef rewards.

Lore

The Tideborn did not simply forge their armor. They grew it from coral and bound living currents into cloth. Reassembling this set is part of restoring a lost kingdom.

Sunfire Shadow Set

Sunfire Shadow Set is a five-piece shadow equipment set themed around fire, sun, and the shattered ember realm. It is forged through Cael the Ashwright in Morroc.

Slot Note

The two pendants share the left slot, and the two rings share the right slot, so you choose which combination you want to wear.

How To Obtain

Talk to Cael the Ashwright in Morroc and turn in fire monster drops plus zeny for each piece.

Lore

Where the Tideborn shaped living currents, the ember-folk burned their craft into being. This set carries the remnants of that firebound tradition.

Poring Haven Cards

Poring Haven Cards are a 25-card custom set dropped by the custom porings in Poring Haven. Each poring drops its own matching card, turning the field into both a leveling map and a card hunt.

Why They Matter

These cards are part of the broader Poring Haven ecosystem alongside leveling, themed drops, mercenary tokens, and card recycling through Cardsmith Marlow.

Why It Matters

\n

This system helps keep custom cards and general farming relevant, even when a drop is not directly useful to your current build. It also softens bad-luck farming by turning leftovers into progress.

Custom Headgears

OceaniaRO includes a large cosmetic collection built around 110 custom headgears, with each one available as both a stat version and a costume version.

What This Means

Costume Support

The system is supported by the Costume Stylist, giving players an easier way to manage the appearance side of the collection.

Why It Matters

Custom headgears are one of the most visible parts of server identity. They give players long-term cosmetic goals and help OceaniaRO look distinct without relying only on power progression.

Expected Future Expansion

This page should later branch into screenshots, acquisition methods, featured sets, and any sorting by costume-only versus stat-enabled versions.

Ocean Gear Quest

The Ocean Gear Quest is the progression path for earning the six-piece Ocean Gear set from Maren the Tidewright in Izlude.

Quest Giver

What You Are Building

This questline leads into the full Ocean Gear set, a water-themed custom equipment line tied to the drowned kingdom of Aequoria.

How It Works

  1. Talk to Maren in Izlude.
  2. Choose which Ocean Gear piece you want to work toward.
  3. Turn in the required aquatic monster drops and zeny for that piece.
  4. Repeat the process piece by piece until the full set is complete.

Important Materials

The exact material list should be filled in from the live NPC requirements, but this progression is known to use aquatic monster drops and connects naturally with Coral Reef rewards from Drowned Aequoria.

Why This Quest Matters

This is one of the core custom progression paths on OceaniaRO. It connects custom lore, instance rewards, and practical gearing into one clear route.

This is a starter version of the quest page and should later be expanded with exact material turn-ins for each piece.

Sunfire Quest

The Sunfire Quest is the progression route for the Sunfire Shadow Set, forged through Cael the Ashwright in Morroc.

Quest Giver

What You Are Building

This questline unlocks the five-piece Sunfire Shadow Set, a fire- and sun-themed shadow equipment line tied into the Sundering-era lore.

How It Works

  1. Talk to Cael in Morroc.
  2. Select the Sunfire piece you want to forge.
  3. Turn in the required fire monster drops and zeny for that piece.
  4. Repeat the process until you complete the full shadow set.

Important Materials

The exact material list should be documented from the live NPC requirements, but the questline is known to use fire monster drops and is designed as the counterpart to the Ocean Gear path.

Why This Quest Matters

This is one of OceaniaRO's signature custom gearing routes and gives players a clear way to pursue themed shadow equipment without relying on random acquisition alone.

This is a starter version of the quest page and should later be expanded with exact turn-in requirements for each piece.

Important Material Notes

Custom Crafting

Custom Crafting

OceaniaRO has several custom gear paths. Some are simple shops, while others ask you to hunt monsters, collect drops, and build toward a specific item.

Most custom gear is meant to sit beside normal Renewal progression rather than replace every official item forever. If something feels weak or too expensive, report it in Discord feedback with your item, class, level, and comparison point.

Notes

Coins and the Dynamic Market

Bronze, Silver and Gold Coins are OceaniaRO's second currency. Almost everything the Tidemark Company pays you is denominated in them, and the place to spend them is the Dynamic Market in Prontera.

Gold Coin storage

Gold Coins (item 7929) can go into Kafra storage and cart. They still cannot be sold to NPC vendors, traded, mailed, or auctioned.

The Dynamic Market

Where: Prontera, 155 / 183 — just north of the fountain.

The Market buys and sells a fixed list of crafting materials, consumables and upgrade materials. Prices are not fixed. They move with what the whole server has been doing that day.

Selling back pays 50% of the current buy price, and pushes that item down for everyone — so a server that farms Oridecon hard makes Oridecon cheap. The Demand Report option shows what has been moving.

Bronze tier — crafting materials

Item Base price
Iron 3 Bronze
Steel 5 Bronze
Elunium 4 Bronze
Oridecon 4 Bronze
Phracon 2 Bronze
Trunk 2 Bronze
Emveretarcon 4 Bronze

Silver tier — consumables

Item Base price
White Potion 2 Silver
Blue Potion 3 Silver
Speed Potion 4 Silver
Box of Thunder 5 Silver

Aloebera 2 Silver

Gold tier — upgrade materials

Item Base price

Enriched Elunium 5 Gold
HD Oridecon 8 Gold
HD Elunium 8 Gold
Carnium 10 Gold
Bradium 10 Gold
HD Carnium 15 Gold
HD Bradium 15 Gold

Base prices are the starting point, not what you will pay. Check the live menu.

Exchange rates

The Market converts coins in both directions. Going up the ladder is free. Coming back down costs a 10% fee, on purpose — it stops coins being cycled for profit.

Up — no fee Down — 10% fee
50,000 Zeny → 1 Bronze Coin 1 Bronze Coin → 45,000 Zeny
5 Bronze → 1 Silver 1 Silver → 4 Bronze
5 Silver → 1 Gold 1 Gold → 4 Silver

So one Gold Coin is 25 Bronze, or 1,250,000 Zeny if you buy it outright. Earning coins is almost always cheaper than converting for them.

Where coins come from

Your Harbor Reputation changes these payouts — Marine rank and above add Bronze to bounties, and Saltwalker discounts what the Company charges you.

Reworked Cards

Eight low-level cards that are vendor trash on most servers have been rebuilt into real early-game options. They drop from the same monsters as always, at the same rate — only what they do has changed.

In-game you can tell them apart because the name carries an [OceaniaRO] tag. If you see that tag on a card, the stats are ours, not the standard ones.

The eight cards

Card Slot Effect
Drops Card Weapon DEX +1, HIT +3, and +3% physical damage against Normal-class monsters
Hornet Card Weapon STR +1, ATK +5, HIT +5
Vadon Card Weapon +20% physical damage against Fire property, HIT +5
