Aequoria, the Drowned Kingdom
The kingdom raised upon the Tide-shard, home of the Tideborn.
The Tideborn
Aequoria's people didn't hammer their armor — they grew it. Coral was cultivated into scalemail, living currents were woven into cloth. Their craft sat halfway between smithing and gardening the sea.
The fall
In the Sundering, the sea took it all back in a single night. The kingdom drowned. Today the only Tideborn smith left is Maren the Tidewright, working out of Izlude harbor where the relics wash up.
Why the gear comes from monsters
The Tideborn craft survived only in the creatures of the deep, which carry fragments of Aequorian make in their scales, shells and bones. Every piece of Ocean Gear you reforge is a piece of the drowned kingdom, walking again.
