Signs on the Tide

Since the Choir Memorial appeared, other strange things have been reported along Oceania's shores. Some are understood. Some are not. This page records what is known.

The Tidegauge

A coral pillar at Izlude harbor showing a number out of 100: the tide. It rises with the whole server's activity - every Drowned Aequoria clear and every kept bounty contract feeds it - and ebbs slowly on its own.

When it reaches 100, the Spring Tide breaks: sea creatures surge onto the fields south of Prontera for 30 minutes, led by Tidal Heralds carrying Coral Reef and Bronze Coins. No GM triggers it. Only you do - collectively.

The Driftline

Bottle-posts at four shores: Izlude, Alberta, Comodo, and Malangdo. Write a short message (one per day), cast it to sea, and the current delivers it to a random other player at another shore - with a small gift attached. Every message is delivered exactly once. Be kind; the harbor watch reads over the sea's shoulder.

The Saltwalker

A salt-crusted merchant who is only ever in one town at a time and moves every real hour. He is never announced. Reported sightings: Izlude, Morroc, Payon, Comodo, Juno, Malangdo - in some order. He sells salvage for Bronze Coins, one rotating daily rare, and - for a single coin - hints toward Faded Echoes you have not yet found.

The Sea-Post

Divers speak of a brass cylinder at the Izlude waterline, near the Tidal Breach, that contains dry paper underwater. Those who have written into it say something writes back - a day later, in real time, signed only "D."
